Tuition Assistance Application

Accessibility and continuity of music education at Cascade School of Music is an important part of our mission.  Support from local businesses, organizations, foundations, and individuals help make this vital support possible.  Tuition assistance awards range from 20% to 50% of the total tuition and eligibility is based on family size and income.   As funds are limited, awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis.  

To apply for Tuition Assistance, please complete the online or PDF application and submit eligibility documentation by mail or in-person to 510 NE 3rd Street | Bend, OR 97701.  Eligibility information can also be emailed to  However, it is important to note that the school email system is not encrypted, so please be aware that the security of email transmissions cannot be guaranteed. 

Eligibility documentation must be in the form of the most current federal income tax return along with the names of all household members and their sources of monthly income.  CSM may request additional information to determine eligibility. 

A tuition assistance application and proof of income must be submitted prior to approval.  All applications will be decisioned and notified by email within 1-2 weeks. 

Emergency Tuition Assistance: If your family has a temporary need for tuition assistance,  we do have limited emergency funds available.  Please contact our Academic Director, Carly Marunowski, or our Executive Director, Robert Lambeth, for more information.
