Private Lessons
PRIVATE LESSON PROGRAM
The Cascade School of Music is an independent, non-profit, year-round school, beginning each September, that believes in the importance of a continuous music education. However, students are invited to join our school at any time during the year.
Cascade School of Music offers the opportunity for private music study with our faculty with lesson lengths of 30, 45, or 60 minutes. CSM understands the relationship between student and teacher is a special one and we strive to make the right pairing from day one and throughout a student's time at our school.
We offer in-person and online private study for the following instruments: acoustic guitar, bass guitar, cello, clarinet, drums, electric guitar, fiddle, mountain lap dulcimer, percussion, piano, saxophone, ukulele, upright bass, viola, violin, and voice.
Private lessons for most instruments begin at ages 7, 8, or 9. Our CSM Faculty are ready to support and inspire!

Tuition
The flat rate per month for 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons is $188.00, $268.00, and $348.00 respectively.
The monthly payment rates are set by the number of instructional weeks in our school year (September - August) multiplied by the rate per lesson ($47.00, $67.00, and $87.00) and divided by 12 months.
A $25.00 registration fee per student is assessed at the time of enrollment. Please note: if a student withdraws but re-enrolls within 120 days (4 months), no new registration fee will be assessed.
We offer a 10% tuition plan discount for veterans and seniors ages 62+ in support of lifelong learning.
Refund Policy (unforeseen circumstances)
Private lessons cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather, will be rescheduled. If a makeup lesson can not be scheduled then a per lesson rate 50% refund will be offered.
Student Scholarship Programs
CSM Student Scholarship Programs are donor funded and are purposefully “low-barrier” to make the application process quick and easy. Please visit our CSM Website to learn more about our four scholarship programs.
On occasion, we have a wait list for placement of new students into our private study program. If no immediate space is available for the student, the student has the option of being placed on the wait list. When space becomes available, the school will contact the student or parent/guardian.
